TIR Receives Cumulative $1.4 Million in Orders
The Singapore Ministry of Defense has selected TIR to light several new military warehouse facilities, following the successful completion of an earlier project. TIR’s 1000 watt Ovoid Series Light Pipe System was selected to provide critical task general illumination while minimizing maintenance access in high security warehouses.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation has again selected TIR, this time to relight the Cody Tunnel near Yellowstone National Park after the successful installation of the Green River Tunnel earlier in the year. The lighting upgrade utilizes TIR’s Tunnel Light Pipe and Dual Beam products to provide safe, high quality, uniform lighting for day and night-time vehicle traffic traveling to the popular national park.
“TIR’s customers worldwide continue to recognize the operational cost benefits and quality lighting delivered by our Light Pipe and Solid State Lighting Solutions.” stated Darren Luce, Director of Sales and Business Development.
TIR Systems Ltd., a world leader in delivering specialty lighting systems, is building the foundations for tomorrow’s lighting. Through sound innovation and proven technical capability, TIR is developing, designing and marketing the core technologies that will allow Solid State Lighting (SSL) to move to the forefront of mainstream lighting. Solid State Lighting can up to deliver 90% energy savings from the energy we produce for the delivery of light; currently a quarter of all electricity produced is used for lighting.
