Dahlhaus revives vintage lighting for residential, commercial, and civic environments. The company’s specialty is outdoor items, which can be individually customized according to dimensions, color, glass, and finish. The craftsmanship is exactly what you’d expect from a German company.
In addition to street lighting, Dahlhaus offers magnificent lighting designs for back yards, front yards, driveways, gardens, patios, balconies and storefronts. Mailboxes, doorbell covers, wall plaques, hanging plaques, flower planters, fountains, patio furniture, benches and ornaments are also offered and make terrific accent pieces. Most fixtures are available in post, wall and ceiling models.
All lamps and lanterns are built using original period castings, representing designs found throughout Europe. Modern styles can be customized to satisfy any customer. So far these designs have not been available in the United States.
Disney found Dahlhaus in Germany many years ago and purchased many fixtures there to provide an Old World look in its theme parks in the U.S. Now, individual American customers are starting to appreciate what Dahlhaus offers. For example, a residence being renovated in Manhattan’s upper West side recently installed an attractive outdoor lamp and a matching address plaque.
